ODMAD workflow fails with error: "Read: The user name or password is incorrect."
Description

ODMAD workflow fails with error: "Read: The user name or password is incorrect.". However discovery is working without a problem.
Cause

Dirsync agent machine is not joined to the domain and modern password sync is utilized
Resolution

In order to resolve the issue, please join ODMAD dirsync agent machine(s) to the domain they're working with. If the issue persists, please reinstall the dirsync agent, specifying domain credentials in <domain>\<admin> format instead of UPN.
Additional Information

Modern password sync is utilizing connectivity between the dirsync agent and password plugin on DC using a named pipe. This may require stricter security requirements than used during the legacy password sync.
