No valid accounts specified for mail migration when migrating an Office 365 shared mailbox

When using On Demand Migration (ODM) to migrate a shared mailbox to a user mailbox, everything works until attempting to migrate the data. 

There is an error: No valid accounts specified for mail migration

ODM is not able to migrate a source shared mailbox to a target user mailbox.

WORKAROUND

1. Change the Target account to be a shared mailbox.
2. Remove the Match between Source and Target object.
3. Create a New Match between Source and Target.

Enhancement request ODM-380 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of On Demand Migration

You may need to remove the object from ODM tool all together and then run the discovery again to re add it. Then continue as per usual. If you are using Azure AD Connect to sync shared mailboxes from a local Active Directory, then you may be able to set attributes on the local AD objects so that the proper type of mailbox is created in the cloud.
