Cause
Some possible ways duplicates can occur:--If the user had imported any calendar items--User adds the appointments manually to the target--Someone had included the target account in the appointment or appointment update--Meeting invitation is forwarded from the source to target and user accepts on source and target prior to calendar migration -
Resolution
Be aware of the above when performing those actions.
Note: When On Demand Migration does a migration is adds an invisible watermark to whatever it has migrated so it does not migrate the item again creating a duplicate. If the entry was added to the target some other way other than via ODM, then the watermark will not be present and the item will migrate as far as ODM is concerned even if it causes a duplicate entry due to a lack of this watermark.
