Device registration fails with the following error:
Error[17]: An error occurred while attempting the action 'https://ca.odmad.quest-on-demand.com/api/ADM/register'
Failed to register device (DomainName: <domain>, DeviceName: <computer_name>, AgentVersion: <version>)
Directory Object in domain <domain> with sAMAccountName <computer_name> could not be found
The device does not appear under Ready Devices even after the agent has been installed for more than 24 hours.
The error indicates that the device object has not been ingested into the backend SQL database. This typically occurs when the Directory Sync workflow has not read the device object from Active Directory. Without this step, registration cannot proceed.
