To generate a License File for a NetVault Server installation, the Machine ID needs to be register on Quest Support Portal. However, even when old hosts were removed and a new host is added with the new Machine ID, the generated license file is showing an old Machine ID that isn't longer listed.
The License File is a plain text file that can be open with any editor. Its content is similar to the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<LicenseFile>
<Licenses>
<License Generator="File" GeneratorVersion="3.0" Signature="<Hex value>">
<LicenseNumber>###-###-###</LicenseNumber>
<LicenseType>Perpetual</LicenseType>
<ProductName>NetVault Enterprise Capacity Edition</ProductName>
<ProductVersion>13</ProductVersion>
<Edition>Enterprise Capacity</Edition>

<MachineId>X-XXXX-XXX</MachineId>
<Capacity>##</Capacity>
