Title: NetApp Filer backup files and folder names truncated.

Symptoms:
Backing up files of a German NetApp Filer using the NDMP Plugin (7.1.13 OnTap 7.3.3P3).
Intermittently once the files were backed up, the Restore window would show some files and folders that had been truncated.
The backups would complete successfully.
We could see that the following items were in the Trace nvgui.log at the time of the backup:

The full name of the file was supplied for the backup. The Plugin was updated with this at the time.
Because the NetApp Filer is German i.e. has UTF-8 characters (whether the Filer / NetVault uses them or not), will have to be configured for this. Go through the document under Solutions (3621 - Error backing up, restoring or displaying foreign language characters in NDMP Plugin), that describes to setup the UTF-8 within the NDMP Plugin, Server, NDMP Client and backups.
Check that the NetApp Filer and volumes are setup for UTF-8 as well.
