Cannot connect to FreeNAS client machine -
Description
After installing a NetVault client on FreeNAS machine, the NetVault server "Cannot connect" to the FreeNAS client machine.

Cause
FreeNAS, is an open source storage platform based on FreeBSD. Currently FreeNAS is not supported with NetVault Backup.

Resolution
FreeBSD versions 6.2, 6.3, 7.0 – 7.3 and 8.x are currently supported using the following file systems: ext2, ext3, ext4, xfs & Reiser FS. See the “NetVault® Backup Compatibility Guide” for more information concerning compatibility.
NetVault does support “supported nas devices” on FreeBSD versions 7.1.16, 7.1.19 and 7.6.3. Be sure to check the “NetVault® Backup NAS and NDMP Compatibility Guide”. For more specific information.
