Although various clients got an additional VSS APM license, creating the backup job does not show this newly enabled VSS feature within the backup configuration type.
Removing and reregistering the client does no affect either.
The Windows Service - Volume Shadow Copy has been set to ENABLED automatically, but has made no difference.
With NetVault 8.5, the VSS comes automatically with it and do not need to request a license key for VSS.
With NetVault 8.1, you will have to install the VSS Plugin separately.
The two version options screenshots have been added to this KBA that show the different NetVault 8.1 and 8.5 VSS Option types.
There is a VSS option in NetVault 8.1, but is called 'Create and Backup Shadow Copy'.
