Version 3.1 of the Output Test Plugin has the ability to generate a non-browsable index (previous versions provided no entry in the Restore window); this index itself if not

of interested, but the extra data that can be carried with the index is. The action of generating and index allows plugin data to be provided and entered in the backup record;

this is stored in the NV dtabase table "Backup" (/usr/netvault/db/MediaDatabase/Records/Backup).

This will allow testing of the NVDB backup records structure and NVSD Garbage collection which is driven by NVBU index retirement
