1- Under NetVault 8.5.2, the File System plugin now handles chroot environments differently.
Instead of failing the backup while attempting to backup 'in flux' objects, it skips them and produces a warning showing all the items impossible to backup.
The items that can be backed up will.
2- If backing some items of /var/named/chroot/proc is not an option there are 2 options left:
a) re-mount the bind mount without -n, allows for successful backup, but this will be overwritten at next update
e.g.: mount --bind /proc /var/named/chroot/proc >/dev/null 2>&1
b) create an exclusion list for redhat clients:
-- Create a file saved in unicode format (example /exclude.txt)
-- the file will include the following line:
/var/named/chroot/
-- copy this file locally on each 'chrooted' redhat machine
-- on the backup server open Backup
---------> open the redhat clients
---------> right click their File System plugin
---------> Configure
---------> on the field "File containing a list of path based patterns to exclude from backups" input the path to the exclusion list: /exclude.txt
This will make sure we ignore this path on 'chrooted' redhat clients during backups.
