DB2 database job fails with Failed to backup Database SAMPLE for individual dbs.

The errors seen in the log are:

Error 2010/01/18 21:30:02 400 Data Plugin HO-SERVER_Prod Failed to backup Database SAMPLE.

SQL2071N An error occurred while accessing the shared library "C:/Program Files/BakBone Software/NetVault/lib/libdb2hook64.dll". Reason code: "2".
SQL2079N An error was reported by the shared library "C:/Program Files/BakBone Software/NetVault/lib/libdb2hook.dll". Return code: "30".

solution/workaround/proc:
After checking that these libs do exist in the location mentioned a common cause of this error is simply that the client machine name of the DB2 server contains special characters such as - and _
Once the client software is reinstalled with a purely alphanumeric name the problem should disappear.
