Description: Unable to expand, and select databases in the SQL plugin.
Log in failure to the MS SQL instance
Error message "failed to log in, check log for errors".
Log reports the following SQL error:
SQL Server: Msg 18456, Level 14, State 1, Line 1 Login failed for user '\' -
Resolution
Verify that the Netvault Process Manager Service is loggin in as a Domain Admin level user.
Check the properties > Log On tab of the service.
If 'This user' is selected, and it shows .\administrator then the local machine's administrator is being used.
Change this to administrator@ and restart the service. -
