NetVault Service stops when the Console is open, the system event log does show that the "The NetVault Process Manager service terminated unexpectedly".
If the NetVault Console is open, and the Symantec's "The Live Update service enters the stopped state", it can cause the NetVault service to stop. If the NetVault console is closed at the time of the Live Update service entering the stopped state, NetVault is not affected.
If running Symantec's "The Live Update service", close the NetVault console when not in use.
