Description

There is communication between the NetVault Backup server and the client, but when the client tried to open a connection to the DR appliance it failed.
Cause

Communication failure between the client an the DR appliance.
Resolution

Verify that the name of the DR appliance resolves correctly on the client.
Verify that you can ping the DR.
Verify that you can connect to port 11000 and 10011 on the DR appliance using telnet from the client.
telnet <IP address> <port>
telnet 192.168.1.10 11000
On Windows it will give a blank screen if it connects.
