Vistual Disk Development Kit information
VDDK uses a kernel-mode driver for mounting a virtual machine during file-level backup and browse operations.
VMware Technical Support routinely requests diagnostic information from you when a support request is handled. This diagnostic information contains product-specific logs and configuration files from the host on which the product is run. The information is gathered using a specific script or tool for each product.
For some troubleshooting we need to check the Virtual Disk Development Kit version in order to check updates for it.
To collect VDDK logs from a Windows proxy server, collect the latest vixdisklib log files:
