Media being marked as BAD and produces an 'INVALID FIELD IN COMMAND DESCRIPTOR BLOCK' error.
Description
NetVault Environment Details... NetVault Server 9.2 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 NetVault Smart Client: 9.2 Windows 2008 R2 64Bit Backup Device: Quantum Scalar i80 Tape Library connected via FC to the Smart Client. The tape library contains a HP LTO-5 drive. Tape Library Firmware: 153G.GS004 (Supported). Tape Library Drive Firmware: Y64Z (Supported).
As you can see in the NetVault Backup - Supported VTLs, Libraries, Tape and Optical Drives (2014-11) guide from the following link, that the tape library and firmware versions are supported:

All these errors are pointing to hardware issues, as the “SCSI” messages are presented to NetVault i.e. outside of NetVault and will need to contact your hardware vendor (supply all the NetVault logs as well).
