Exchange backup fails with failed to create VSS snapshot in the binary log
Output from “vssadmin list writers” we see that the exchange writer failed as below:

Output from “vssadmin list Providers” showed 'Dell EqualLogic VSS HW Provider' as a provider.
Checked volumes and there are multiple NetVault snapshots
1/ Remove all NetVault snapshots
2/ remove the 'Dell EqualLogic VSS HW Provider’ as shown below
“C:Program FilesEqualLogicbin>eqlvss /unregserver”
3/ reboot exchange server to bring exchange writer back on line.
