Description
Attempting to elevate the NetVault Process Manager to "Allow service to interact with desktop" fails.
Error: "The service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured not to allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."

Cause
In Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, support for interactive services has been removed; therefore, this error will be generated by any service configured as an interactive service.

Resolution
RESOLUTION- Open Control Panel
- Double click Administrative Tools
- Double click Services
- Select the Interactive Service Detection from the list and right click on it
- Select Start
- Right click Properties
- In Startup type select Enable
- Click OK
- Reboot system

If an “Error 1: Incorrect Function” is issued,adjustment of a registry key is required:
