VMware Plugin backup fails with "Failed to snapshot VM" -
Description
When attempting to back up a VM with the NetVault VMware plugin it fails with:
"Failed to snapshot VM"
The log context shows the following error:
"Soap error is Current license or ESXi version prohibits execution of the requested operation."

Cause
VMware API operations are not supported against the free version of VMware ESXi. -
Resolution
Upgrade VMware license to Essentials, Standard or Enterprise.
