Description:
NetVault: SmartDisk service stops due to an incompatible version of the OpenSLL library (libeay32.dll) being is installed in the Windows System directory.
Symptoms:
Due to Windows ‘search path’ operation, an incompatible version of the OpenSSL library ( libeay32.dll ) installed in “C:\Windows\System32” or “C:\Windows” may cause the NVSD service to stop shortly after start up. -
Resolution
Copy “[path_to_NVSD]\dedupe\lib\libeay32.dll” to following directories
- [path_to_NVSD]\dedupe\bin
- [path_to_NVSD]\diskmanager\bin -
