We are looking to migrate public folders from source to O365. The challenge is the source is being hosted and we have no direct access to the source environment other than through the Outlook client. Would it be possible to migrate those public folders if we can create an Outlook profile on the ExPro box that has access to those public folders without having direct access to the source AD?
This will not be possible, the product will not have the ability to rationalize the forest since we have no AD access and ExPro requires it to perform forest rationalization.
Do you have access to the source Exchange Server via PowerShell or EWS depends on the version of Exchange? If we don't have access to those as well, we won't be able to copy permission or mail enable the public folder which making the migration even harder as these functionality always needed for any public folder migration.
