Customer has a small migration project and wants to only use the migration worker on the controller. When the local worker is loaded manually, it shows as ready on the monitor page. The minute the admin hits “migrate” they get an error “Path not found”.
When Notes Migrator is installed, the install writes to the NM database setting document. A field gets written at the time of the install to the setting document. That field “CMTMCCWORKER" has the path of the worker installation listed in it.
This particular customer first installed to the default directory of the C: drive. They then copied the NM database up to the domino server and then decided they wanted the program directory on the E: drive. So they uninstalled the program and reinstalled to the E: drive. When migrating using the worker on the controller, the error “Path Not Found” appeared because the path was “C:\Program Files\Binary Tree\CMT for Exchange\Worker” which doesn’t exist, they need to change the value to “E:\Program Files\Binary Tree\CMT for Exchange\Worker”
Because the setting document is a profile document and cannot be view from a view the way to change it as follow: One can edit the “settings” form in Notes Designer and added a editable text field called “CMTMCCWORKER” and then save the form. Then once saved, click the setting document again in the NM database and it will have that editable field on it, which will allow you to change it and then re-save the document for the value to be written.
This resolves it otherwise you would have to delete the NM database from the notes data directory, uninstall and the reinstall where a new NM database is placed in the notes data directory on the controller and then copy that database with the correct path up to the domino server. The work around above resolves that without have to start over.© 2025 Quest Software Inc. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Terms of Use Privacy Cookie Preference Center
