EMF Format can be converted to JPEG,PNG, GIF & BMP
Description
Embedded Metafile (EMF) Format can be converted to JPEG,PNG, GIF & BMP format starting with build 6.4.2.1817
Cause
EMF format images were migrated as EMF format and these could not be displayed in Internet Explorer but could in Google Chrome, this was a browser limitation
Resolution
Open the Migrator for Notes to SharePoint Designer
On The Notes tab under Source Data Definition click Edit
The bottom option will be "Windows Metafile Image Conversion Option", Click the checkbox for "Convert Windows Metafile Image"
Choose the file type from the drop menu. (Options are JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP)
Note: Converting a Windows Metafile Image to another image format might cause a loss of quality and content from the original image. Complexed EMF Images may lose some things in the conversion like text but nothing can be done about this.
Once the EMF is converted to one of the following formats JPEG,GIF,BMP or PNG, your EMF image file will be able to displayed in Internet Explorer as it supports these Image formats better.
