Cannot paste LDAP filter into Active Directory Users and Computers Window
Description
If the LDAP filter is too long the Active Directory Users and Computers Window may not allow it to be entered because of length restrictions. The is not error present just that the paste operation will not complete.
Cause
This is an issue with the applet and a restriction on the amount of characters allowed in the query string.
Resolution
To overcome the issue and test the LDAP filter in the Domain utilize the LDP.exe utility.
