Cannot Get property from 'AppPools' container of IIS metabase. Error 0x80004005 -
Description
While attempting installation of "Migration Manager" or Statistics Web Portal component you may receive the error:
"Cannot Get property from 'AppPools' container of IIS metabase. Error 0x80004005"

Cause
"User Account Control" is preventing your account from installing the software or one of the required IIS features is not enabled. -
Resolution
Right click on the "AutoRun" icon within the "Migration Manager" package and select "Run as Administrator" so full administrative rights are given to install software.
If this does not resolve the problem, run the .msi installation file from \QMM\ folder (QMM.8.14.0.3460.msi for QMM 8.14) directly to complete the installation.
Statistics Web Portal component may still fail the install with same error even if UAC is disabled and setup.msi is executed directly from \Statistics Portal\ folder of the downloaded package, in this case run the following command to enable all necessary IIS features:
DISM.EXE /enable-feature /online /featureName:IIS-WebServerRole /featureName:IIS-WebServer /featureName:IIS-WebServerManagementTools /featureName:IIS-IIS6ManagementCompatibility /featureName:IIS-Metabase /featureName:IIS-ApplicationDevelopment /featureName:NetFx3ServerFeatures /featureName:IIS-ASPNET /featureName:NetFx4ServerFeatures /featureName:NetFx4 /featureName:NetFx4Extended-ASPNET45 /featureName:IIS-NetFxExtensibility /featureName:IIS-ISAPIExtensions /featureName:IIS-ISAPIFilter /featureName:IIS-CommonHttpFeatures /featureName:IIS-DefaultDocument /featureName:IIS-StaticContent /featureName:IIS-Security /featureName:IIS-RequestFiltering /featureName:IIS-WindowsAuthentication
then launch the installation again.You may also check the EnableLUA option in the registry; sometimes you have to do it manually or UAC doesn't get completely disabled.
