When move a computer that runs on Windows Vista to target domain, the process failed although the credential had been verified and have the administrative rights on the workstation. The following error shown in the log:
11/8/2011 2:22:31 PM 3024 Joining computer <computername> to domain <domain> using account domain\user from target domain.
11/8/2011 2:22:31 PM 3024 Error 0x5. Access is denied.
11/8/2011 2:22:31 PM 3024 Move failed.
This is due to issue found in the Microsoft Windows Vista that running without Service Pack. This is not happen when Windows Vista running on Service Pack 1 or higher.
To resolve the issue, please install the hotfix as recommended in Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
