1. Make sure there are no running tasks on old QMS system.
2. Stop the MessageStats Scheduler Service on old QMS system
3. Make a backup of the Tasks directory on old QMS system . By default this is "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\MessageStats\Tasks\"
4. Make a backup of the Application Logs directory on old QMS system. By default this is "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\MessageStats\Application Logs\"
5. Uninstall MessageStats from Old QMS system.
6. Install MessageStats on New Server, using the new service credentials
7. Make sure the MessageStats Scheduler Service is stopped on New QMS system
8. Restore the backed up Tasks directory from old QMS system into the Tasks directory on new QMS system
9. Restore the backed up Application Logs directory from old QMS system into the Tasks directory on new QMS system.
10. Start the MessageStats Scheduler Service on new QMS system
Note if you changed MessageStasts Task Processor server, then the option to view historical MessageStasts application logs is no longer available. All existing tasks will be migrated intact. When you run these tasks, then the option to view historical MessageStasts application logs for gathering tasks executed after the move, will be available.
