Messagestats upgrade overwrites the database connection string in the registry when SQL Authentic (4302053)

Messagestats upgrade overwrites the database connection string in the registry when SQL Authentication is being used.

This is a known issue where the Messagestats Console and Reports upgrade process overwrites a registry entry and the registry key does not point to the udl file after the upgrade.

WORKAROUND

Modify the registry key after upgrade to point to the UDL file by doing the following:

Edit the SQL Connection string in the registry value: HKLM\Software\MessageStats\ClientDB\SQLConnect to reference the QMSReports.udl file. Change the value to (default path):

File Name=C:\Program Files\Quest Software\MessageStats\QMSReports.udl
