Enhancement Request: Customer would like the ability to check the integrity of a backup and it’s files a some later point in time.
Description

Enhancement Request: Customer would like the ability to check the integrity of a backup and it’s files a some later point in time.
Examples would be:
1) In LS go to “Backup Manager” select tab “LS Activity” right click on a backup and have it validated.
2) Have a “Maintenance Plan” object that will validate that a set of backup files can be used to restore.
Use cases:
1) Customer has very long backup jobs that they think might have had an error and want to check it days later.
2) Customer had a disk error that effected some files in a filesystem but not all and may not have affected the files needed for a specific backup and they want to know if they have a valid backup.
Resolution

RESOLUTION:
Enhancement Request LS-870 implemented in version 8.8. The latest version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server can be downloaded here
