Description
A problem was discovered with the x64 and 64 Itanium builds ofLiteSpeed for SQL Server version 4.8 where backup files exceeding 4 GB in size may result in failure to restore.
Note: This problem does not occur on the 32-bit build of LiteSpeed for SQL Server version 4.8. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
A patch version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server, version 4.8.1 is available for download in SupportLink.
This release fixes the 64-bit (x64 and Itanium) backup issue regarding files exceeding 4 GB in size. Quest recommends that all customers that are currently using LiteSpeed for SQL Server 4.8 to upgrade to the 4.8.1 version.
