How to remove LiteSpeed Activity Service? (4257328)

How to remove the LiteSpeed Activity Service from the Windows Service (services.msc)?

NOTE: Perform the following only if you do not need the Central Repository anymore and have configured all necessary instances to not use a Central Repository. Refer to SOL22472 (https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=solution&id=SOL22472) on how to remove Central Repository from activity logging configuration.

1. Open the Windows services - Start | Run | services.msc or Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services.
2. Look for LiteSpeed Activity Service | Right-click | Stop
3. Now open a DOS prompt (Start | Run | cmd)and type the following:
   sc delete slsstatsservice
   Note: slsstatsservice is the service name for LiteSpeed Activity Service
4. Click the refresh icon on the Windows Services and the LiteSpeed Activity Service should now be deleted.
