Label / Header Corruption with several Litespeed backups
Description
When using Litespeed to backup SQL databases to a CIF share (Data Domain) using with Verifiy option, some of the backups are are unable to be restored:
Query execution failed. Message: The media family on device '\\UNC_Backup_Location\Test.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family. RESTORE LABELONLY is terminating abnormally. The media family on device '\\UNC_Backup_Location\Test.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family.
Cause
Litespeed UI wizard is showing a false error
Resolution
WORKAROUND: Restore the backup using native SQL Server BACKUP DATABASE, via SSMS.
