After performing a successful LiteSpeed backup, the verbose LiteSpeed log file indicate the following error:
"SQL LiteSpeed: Error getting the contiguous memory via processid".
Litespeed attempts to get sql server's contiguous memory via process ID. If that fails, the memory is obtained via OLE DB. This message simply indicates that the first attempt failed.
If only the first message appears in the log and the backup succeeds there is nothing to worry about, it is simply informational. If both attempts to get contiguous memory failed, then the verbose log file would include the message:
"The available contiguous memory for the SQL Server process could not be determined." The backup would also fail.
WORKAROUND:
None
STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 4.7. The latest version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server can be downloaded at: http://support.quest.com/support_download/Downloads.asp
