Unable to restore LiteSpeed backup to an unlicensed server using xp_restore_automated
Description
I am trying to set up an automated restore to an unlicensed development environment. The restore succeeds when I used xp_restore_database, but fails with the message "The backup has failed because LiteSpeed was unable to retrieve license information. Restores can still be performed." when I try to restore the database using xp_restore_automated. This is not a blocking issue as I already have my own automated restore process in place, but it seems like a restore function that should be available.
Cause
Working as designed.
Resolution
Status:
You must apply a permanent license key, in order for xp_restore_automated to work properly.
