After upgrading to v8.6.1, Backup Templates that create both full and transaction log (TLOG) backups to Amazon S3 will fail for either the TLOG backup, or the Full backup portion of the template job (but not both. One will run fine) with no error.
In v8.6.1.33 the following error is seen for the TLOG backup. (Please note the full backup completes fine, only the TLOG fails.)

No files/devices have been specified
In v8.6.1.22 no error is seen and the job is shown as “successful” in SQL Server Management Studio. Again the full backup completes fine, only the TLOG backup fails however, no error is reported in the logs or elsewhere.

WORKAROUND:
To fix this issue, please input a backup path for the Backup Template.
Also it is worth considering installing Litespeed 8.6.1.36 and using a new 8.6 format license key to try and resolve the issue.
