Fast Compression Backup templates “%D” is appended to the backup directory and not creating the proper directory.
Description

When creating or deploying a previously created Backup Template that has the “Create a subdirectory for each database” option selected in the Backup Template and Deployed as a Maintenance plan - the “%D” is appended to the backup directory.
Cause

This occurs whether a backup location is embedded in the backup template or provided at deployment. This will create the Directory DBName and a Sub Directory DBName .
Resolution

Workaround:
NOT to select “Create a subdirectory for each database” option in the Backup Template.
Then when the backup template is deployed – Specify the backup location and append it with the “%D” or in the Backup Template embed the name of the backup directory and append it with “%D”.
Status:
This has been fixed in the latest version of LiteSpeed Version 8.2
