Job configured to backup all users databases, 'Except selected Databases' is now not backing up any (4235486)

After upgrading to version 7.5.1.11, a job configured to backup all users databases "EXCEPT SELECTED Databases" is now not backing up any databases. The job will run with success but completes in seconds. 

The  previous maintenance plan which was set up to backup all databases except the one(s) selected was working fine before. 
Since the upgrade this no longer works.
 
If this has changed now, should the "SELECTED" tick box should be removed from the "Exclude databases" section on the "Select databases" dialogue box?'

WORKAROUND:
There are two ways of troubleshooting:

1.
Turn off the "Order selected databases" option as it does not take effect for the rest of databases that are a part of the backup.

OR

2.
Replace slssqlmaint.exe in \Binn directory of MS SQL Server(s). This file has been attached to the article.
