Is it possible to have unique backup file names but still have the retention managed by TSM?
Description

Is it possible to have unique backup file names, as generated by LiteSpeed but still have an object expire?
Resolution

TSM always manages retention. You cannot tell it not to.
For backup objects, the answer to this is no… (retention is tied to object versions)
However, you can use ‘archive’ objects- their retention is tied to time.
