Incomplete install or upgrade
WORKAROUND:
Stop any LiteSpeed jobs.
Run Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel.
Rename this file, written to the Microsoft Binn directory (if it exists):
Typically found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn
XpSLS.dll --> xpSLS.dll1
By renaming this file, the next time the server is restarted, you will be able to successfully delete these file and the newer version of the .dll will write to the cache.
Install the latest version of LiteSpeed
Restart LiteSpeed jobs.
The LiteSpeedjobs (similar to native SQL jobs) are in the msdb, so they are untouched. The licensing info for LiteSpeed is also left in place, so when you reinstall, you'll see your license key appear in the window, as you finish installing
