A drive mapping shows as “Disconnected Network Drive”.
In the SLTrace file:
Mapping of S: to \\ServerName\Sharename Failed - [Error Code:85]
Error Code 85 = The local device name is already in use.
To remove the incorrectly labeled mapped drive, follow the steps below:
Go to Start | Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
In the Registry Editor, locate the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
Right-click the mapped drive to be removed. For example, right-click ##Server_Name#Share_Name, and then select Delete.
Note: Replace the Server_Name placeholder with the name of the server that hosts the mapped network drive. Replace the Share_Name placeholder with the name of the mapped network drive.
