Export to CSV or Excel file Fails with "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Error in Toad for SQL Server (4380440)

The error occurs specifically during an export operation when selecting a table and initiating the export to a CSV or Excel file.  

This issue is often caused by an incorrect or corrupted path in the "Serialization temporary folder" setting under Toad's export options, particularly if the path ends with a numeric directory.

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. Go to Tools > Options in the Toad for SQL Server menu.
2. Navigate to Database > Script Results.
3. Locate the field for the Serialization temporary folder.
4. Check if the path ends with a number (e.g., \Temp\1\).
5. Remove the number at the end of the path, so the folder path is clean (e.g., just \Temp\).
6. Click Apply to save changes.
7. Retry the export operation.
