Toad slow to load Connection Manager after startup, and unable to close Toad with the X button during this time. -
Description
When opening Toad, it is taking a long time to load the Connection Manager. During the time of it loading, it is not possible to close Toad with the X button.
Once the connection manager is open, or a database connection is made, this works normally. -
Resolution
Check if a proxy server is being used in the environment. The problem can be solved with entering the proxy settings in Toad, in the View | Toad Options | Online | Proxy Settings menu
