Sometimes when you upgrade AA to the newest version - 8.8.1.36 - the upgrade went well without any issues. But, when try now to restore the object via "Object Recovery", the "Restore" button is disabled. When run the backup it finishes without any errors but you may not see the backups in AA console.
Try to check the ADbackups are stored in ADshare folder and then check if backups are stored in another folder.
Run the AA configuration wizard again and select the ADshare folder to store the backup.
