The current Foglight rule DBO - Redo Archive Average Redo Write contains a misleading label or description that incorrectly states the alert threshold is based on a percentage. In reality, the threshold is a fixed millisecond value compared directly to the computed average redo write time (DBO_Avg_Redo_Write_Time).
This has led to confusion among end users. This isn't a functional bug, but it causes confusion and incorrect tuning decisions.
The rule label indicates thresholds are defined as a percentage over baseline. For example DBO_Avg_redo_write_time_Medium = 60 is interpreted as "60%" but is actually "60 ms".
No baseline model is used; the rule compares average write time directly to a static registry value.

STATUS
Defect ID FOG-11166 has been logged to indicate that the threshold is a fixed value in milliseconds (ms) and the comparison is against a 15-minute average write time, not a percentage. This is planned for an upcoming release of the Oracle cartridge.
