Description
When connecting to an SSL enabled database, catalogued in DB2, the following error appears upon connection:
'CLI0199E Invalid connection string attribute. SQLSTATE=08001' -
Resolution
Please use the IP address of the hostname in the connection string, or catalog details.
If you connect with the hostname, please ensure it is correct in the hosts Windows file with the valid IP address associated with it.The application code reads the whole hostname along with the DNS name as updated in the DNS server. It cannot work with only the hostname, as the code will not be able to find the Fully Qualified Domain Name.
