How to remove hard-coded physical names for all the tables to reinstate inheritance with logical (4353995)

Description:

There are more than 2000 tables and some tables have hard-coded physical names. I want to remove the hard-coded names for all the tables and make the table names inherit from logical side by using %EntityName() macro.  How can I do this?

Solution: 

1. Go to Tools | Model Naming Options

2. Select Name mapping tab

3. Click on Reset Names, the Globally Reset DBMS Property dialog opens.

4. Select All Table Name checkbox

In case where the names are hardened using name hardening, it will first need to be unhardened first.  Unhardening the names will still not reset it, but using the process as described above will reset it.

Notes: 

In this way you can also reset Relationship names, Index names and Column properties.
