Extracting a database from a backup made by the following software fails: Computer Associates BrightStor ARCServeIT 6.6, Computer Associates BrightStor ARCserve Backup 9.0, or Computer Associates ARCserve 2000.
The error message says "Restore operation failed".
The job log contains the message "Unable to connect to network drive", and the drive name is \\computer\ADMIN$.
Quest Software confirms that this problem exists in Recovery Manager for Exchange version 2.2.453.0. The issue is planned to be resolved in subsequent maintenance releases.
WORKAROUND
In addition to the share C$, you must create the share ADMIN$ on the computer on which the Recovery Manager for Exchange is running.
