In certain circumstances the attributes listed in the CMN/CMG Directory Connector "Provision Attributes" and/or "Update Attributes" list can become out of sync with the configuration of the underlying sync engine. This condition may occur with attribute mappings that were customized and then the CMN/CMG Directory Connector software was upgraded.
An example of this condition in the Notes to Exchange direction would be if the the "proxyAddresses" attribute mapping script was customized from default, then the Directory Connector was upgraded to a newer version, now all attributes are being provisioned/upgraded properly except the "proxyAddresses" attribute.
The following procedure should bring the CMN/CMG Directory Connector configuration back into sync with the underlying sync engine:
.) Open the Coexistence Management Console.
.) Locate the connector in question.
.) Right-click on the connector and select Advanced Settings | Users (or other object type).
.) If attributes are not being populated for new objects created by the Directory Connector, then select the "Provision Attributes" tab. If attributes are not being updated on existing objects, then select the "Update Attributes" tab.
.) Locate the attribute in the list, highlight it, and click the Edit button.
.) Copy out or document the attribute mapping configuration.
.) Delete the particular attribute(s) that are not being updated/provisioned.
.) Save and Activate the Directory Connector.
.) Run the Directory Connector. The Directory Connector can be stopped prematurely by stopping the Directory Connector service.
.) Edit the Advanced Settings of the connector and add the attribute back to the proper tab that was deleted in step 7 above.
.) Save and Activate the Directory Connector.
.) Run the Directory Connector.
