When launching Migration Manager for Enterprise Social (MMES) for the first time in a VMWare virtual machine, the following error dialog may appear:
Make sure the virtual machine's configuration allows the guest to open host applications.
The following steps should resolve this issue:
1.) Navigate to Control Panel | Default Programs.
2.) Click Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program.
3.) Locate HTTP towards the bottom of the list.
4.) Highlight HTTP.
5.) Click the Change program button.
6.) Select Internet Explorer as the default program.
7.) Click Close.
8.) Relaunch Migration Manager for Enterprise Social.
