In the documentation, it shows that SQL Express can used to install Intrust. Can SQL Express be used for the database in a production environment? -

Resolution
The inclusion of SQL express was intended to easily and quickly facilitate setting up "Proof of Concept" installations and smaller Dev/Test/UAT environments, it was never intended to be used for production workloads. There are limitations to the SQL express software that would make it a lot less desirable for use under production workloads (including database and table size limitations and performance issues).
Some of the limitations are as follows:
- 1GB maximum memory used by the database engine
- 10GB maximum database size
- 1MB maximum buffer cache
- CPU the lesser of one (1) socket or four (4) cores (number of SQL user connections NOT limited)
It is not recommended to use a SQL express database for any production installation of InTrust.
